  Went in because it was raining. What a revelation. A very interesting presentation on the Earthquake. We had to leave at that point was and given a pass to allow us back in later in the day if so choosing. We did! We spent another two hours looking round the rest of the museum. Well laid out without something for everyone. Cannot recommend this museum highly enough.

  The leaflet showed a young Maori woman, with the title 'Our Journey', so I imagined there would be an exhibition about Maori beginnings & life in Kaikora. Not at all. Its all about the colonials. Disappointed.
  The part about marine life etc is good. And the room giving information about the 2016 earthquake is good.
  I've given the museum a low rating because my experience did not live up to the info on the flier.
